Breed Kindness Foundation

Every paw. Every heart.

We support animal welfare through advocacy, education, and fundraising. We partner with the people doing hands-on rescue work so communities and rescues are not carrying it alone.

What We Do

Animal welfare work happens on the ground. Shelters, rescuers, and community groups care for animals, manage overcrowding, and work toward protection and rehoming. They are closest to the need.

Our role is to support the work around them.

We focus on advocacy, community education, training initiatives, and fundraising support that strengthen what already exists. We partner with individuals and organizations doing the daily work and help bring visibility, resources, and broader support to their efforts.

Why It Matters

Animal welfare does not improve through rescue alone. It improves when communities understand responsible care, when prevention is prioritized, and when the people doing the work are supported beyond crisis moments.

Education, advocacy, and training help reduce overcrowding before it starts. Fundraising and partnerships help shelters and rescue groups sustain their work over time.

By supporting initiatives led by those closest to the work, we help create change that lasts beyond one rescue or one moment.

Our Story

Breed Kindness Foundation began with a shift in perspective.

When we decided to get a dog, my first instinct was to buy one. I was afraid of the stories people tell about rescue dogs. That they are difficult or untrainable. I did not know much then.

Almost by accident, we walked into an adoption event. There was a litter of puppies there. Someone shared they had come from a puppy mill in Tennessee and were transported all the way to Pennsylvania. They were small, unsure, and already carrying more than they should have.

We adopted Turbo.

He was loving and eager, with a quiet anxiety that hinted at a rough beginning. Watching him grow into part of our family changed something in me. I realized that rescue dogs are not broken. They are shaped by what they survive.

A year later, I met Asia. She was three years old and had been stray for months. She lived in an overcrowded shelter and was close to being overlooked. Someone in Pennsylvania agreed to foster her at the last hour. That one yes changed everything.

Asia and Turbo connected immediately. They became their own little family. Loving them showed me how much unseen work goes into rescue. Volunteers. Fosters. Small shelters doing their best with limited resources.

Growing up in the Philippines, I have also seen a different reality. Many stray dogs. Little education. Few resources. Communities wanting to help but lacking support. It made me understand that animal welfare needs more than rescue. It needs education, advocacy, training, and long-term support.

Breed Kindness was created to fill that gap.

We do not replace rescue work. We strengthen it by supporting advocacy, education, fundraising, and training initiatives led by those closest to the work.

This performance honors the quiet, often unseen work of small rescues, fosters, and community advocates who protect animals every day.

Transparency

We are a foundation, not a shelter. We do not take in animals or operate rescues. We exist to support, advocate, and strengthen animal welfare efforts.

Our Role

Animal welfare work is local and hands-on. Our work is supportive and strategic.

We focus on initiatives that help animal welfare efforts succeed beyond immediate rescue. This includes advocacy, education, training, and fundraising support for shelters, rescues, and community groups.

At this stage, donations support the foundation's ability to partner with animal welfare groups, fund education and advocacy initiatives, and prepare future programs that strengthen rescue work over time.
